Well, I have finally started reading Al's new book over break and I have to say I prefer his last book, Lies. Lies was a way overdue rebuttal to the garbage that irresponsible right-wing fanatics have been labeling as "books" and peddling to the lowest common denominator. Franken dismantled their disgusting, character-insulting rhetoric in his typical, witty fashion. Don't get me wrong, The Truth is a terrific read, but Franken is becoming more of a reporter by offering commentary on some heavy stuff. I agree with everything he is saying, but I guess I am just not used to his transformation. Air America has definitely sharpened his observation. I could sit here and quote some of the funniest lines form the book, but it would take me all day. A must read.
